Join our 10 days’ beach and safari Cape Town and Garden
Route tour from the “Mother City” Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. Enjoying the
abundance of Cape Town tours highlights inclusive of Cape of Good Hope and
Table Mountain wonders about wine tasting at the Winelands. Our tour process to
“the whale capital of South Africa” Hermauns (seasonal), exploring the small
town of Swellendam, enjoying Ostrich and Cango Caves tour at Oudtshoorn. We
proceed to Wilderness, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Tsitsikamma to the Storms River
and our final stop will be at Addo Elephant National Park. Enjoy from well
recommended 4-star hotels and lodges in Cape Town and Garden Route guided tours
with a personal driver/guide in a private comfortable vehicle.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Airport Transfer – Cape Town International Airport
Upon your arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you
will be met by our representative to transfer you to your hotel. Check-in at
Victoria and Alfred Hotel for 2 nights on a Bed and Breakfast basis. Once
guests have settled in your driver-guide for the whole duration of your tour
will come through to brief guests about the upcoming experience. Rest of the
day at leisure.
Day 2: Table Mountain and Robben Island Tour
Arrive at Victoria and Alfred Waterfront where guests will
take a ferry to Robben Island. Embark on the ferry at Nelson Mandela Gateway to
Robben Island for approximately 3 to 4 hours guided experience and visit Nelson
Mandela, other activists, and politicians who were incarcerated during the
apartheid regime. Kindly note that your driver guide will not be escorting you
to the island as they have their own guides in place. Upon return from the
Robben Island tour, guests can grab a sandwich or light lunch at a nearby
restaurant (as per your own account). We make a stop at Bo-Kaap for a photo
opportunity. We proceed to Table Mountain, take a cable car with your guide
escorting you for maximum experience. Thereafter, guests will be dropped off at
their location in Cape Town.
Day 3: Cape of Good Hope Tour
Check out at Victoria and Alfred Hotel and your driver will
collect guests for the Cape Peninsula sightseeing experience guided tour. Begin the
tour with a photo opportunity at the colorful houses in Bo-Kaap and Maidens
Cove. We proceed to Hout Bay for a boat trip (weather depended) to the seal
island. Stop on the top of world-renowned scenic drive Chapman's Peak. We
embark on a scenic drive along the coastline to Cape of Good Hope, upon arrival
guests have an optional hike or funicular ride to the 3rd oldest Cape Point
Lighthouse and experience a 360-degree view of the national park. The old
lighthouse was launched in 1860 only to be decommissioned for 40 years and
dozens of shipwrecks too late after studies proved that its high altitude posed
a great danger to sailors around the cape as they couldn't be able to see it in
cloudy weather conditions. A new lighthouse was built at a much lower altitude.
Passing through Simon’s Town to Boulders Beach home to African penguins. Upon
arrival, enjoy lunch at the seaside restaurant – as per your own account.
Thereafter, we proceed to observe the penguins along the beach playing and
taking a nap. Our next two nights will be at the Stellenbosch South Africa wine
region. Upon arrival at Weltereden Estate, check-in for 2 nights for Bed and
Breakfast basis. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 4: Stellenbosch and Franschoek Wine Tour
After breakfast, your driver will collect guests for a wine
tour at the best-recommended wine estates in Stellenbosch and Franschoek.
Stellenbosch is South Africa’s oldest town and inspiring wine, food, art, and
culture. Drive through the oldest town offering a scenic wine route and
unforgettable cellar door, award-winning wine estate. Experience the living
museum with its white Cape-Dutch-style buildings. Experience Franschhoek cafes,
restaurants, galleries, and art shops as we proceed to wine estates for wine
tasting. Thereafter, enjoy lunch – as per your own account, as we travel back
to Stellenbosch to visit another wine estate. Return back to the accommodation,
enjoy dinner – as per your own account.
Day 5: Mossel Bay Via Botlierskop Private Game Reserve
Packed bags as we travel to Mossel Bay through N2 passing
Caledon, Riviersonderend and Riversdale. Thereafter, enjoy a scenic drive along
the beautiful coastal beach called Mossel Bay. Stop at Botlierskop Private Game
Reserve a malaria-free and spreading 4200 hectares of game. Enjoy a 3-hour game
drive and encounter Africa’s Big 4 lion, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.
Thereafter, enjoy lunch – as per your own account. We proceed to The Point
Hotel and Spa, where we will spend 2 nights. Upon arrival check-in and enjoy
the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6: Oudtshoorn
We travel to the capital of the ostrich the world’s biggest bird
is just one of the many attractions in the area. We visit the Cango Caves
offering impressive limestone caves in the morning, learn more about how nature
formed these bizarre and fascinating formations from thousands of years. We
proceed to Ostrich Farm on a guided tour around the farm, learn more about
these cursorial birds. As we make our way to Wilderness a small village the
breathtaking scenery of lakes, mountains, and coastline making this village
feel like an endless paradise and has “that holiday feel” throughout the year.
On the journey, we cross Outeniqua Pass connecting the coastal town of George with
Oudtshoorn and the Little Karoo, and enjoy wonderful scenery across the
mountains. Upon arrival at Moontide Guest House for one night.
Day 7: Wilderness via Knysna to Plettenberg Bay
We head to Knysna a wonderful town located next to a lagoon
and breathtaking panorama over the mountains. Explore Knysna Heads a formation
of sandstone cliffs separating the Knysna Lagoon from the sea, a famous landmark along the World Renowned Garden Route. We continue to Plettenberg Bay and
visit the Monkeyland Garden of Eden stretching an area of 12 hectares of
indigenous forest and home to over 500 primates including gibbons, howler
monkeys, vervet monkeys, langurs, sakis, capuchins, squirrel monkeys, spider
monkeys, ring-tailed lemurs, and the critically endangered black and white
Day 8: Plettenberg Bay to Tsitsikamma National Park
This morning we head to Tsitsikamma National Park “place of
many waters” a natural paradise with an abundance of vegetation, giant trees. Explore
the Storm River Mouth on a suspension bridge that spans 77 meters with your guide
and feel the refreshing breeze and the mountainous view. An optional kayak to
explore the river mouth experiencing the beauty of the Storms River flanked by precipitous
cliffs and its abundance of forest vegetation from an adventures view. We return
to Emily Moon River Lodge.
Day 9: Plettenberg Bay to Addo Elephant National Park
Spend a day at Addo Elephant National Park at a malaria-free
and home to Africa’s wildlife, spreading up to 180 000 hectares approximately of
game. Embark on an extensive game drive in an open 4x4 safari vehicle and get a
close-up experience with the animals. The park is famous for large elephant
herds often spotted side by side at the water holes. Home to lion, buffalo,
black rhino, spotted hyena, leopard, a variety of antelope, and zebra species.
In the Afternoon we proceed to check-in at De Old Drift Guest Farm rest of the
day at leisure.
Day 10: Enclosed Morning Game Drive and Port Elizabeth Drop off
Embark on a morning game drive conducted by your guide and in your tour vehicle, traversing Addo Elephant National Park. Thereafter, we continue to Port Elizabeth where you will be dropped off.
