Day-by-Day Itinerary

1

Meet your private guide in Arusha after a separately arranged arrival and drive to Tarangire. Enter a landscape of enormous baobabs and river valleys, stopping for wildlife where time allows. Settle into the first of two lodge nights and discuss a pace that balances early drives with time to enjoy the setting.

2

Spend the cool hours exploring the river and surrounding habitats. Dry-season elephant gatherings can be extraordinary, but their location changes with water and food. Carry a picnic or return for lunch, then use the afternoon for a quieter sector of the park, looking for birds and smaller creatures as well as the larger herds.

3

Travel from Tarangire towards the Ngorongoro highlands, allowing realistic time for road travel and stops. Arrive at your luxury highlands or rim lodge for two nights. Enjoy the cooler air and views, with a permitted guided highlands activity only if arranged in advance and suitable for conditions on the day.

4

Begin early for the included descent to the floor of Ngorongoro. Your guide moves between grassland, marsh and woodland, interpreting the relationships that sustain this dense wildlife community. Look for black rhino from a respectful distance and never assume a sighting. Picnic at an authorised site, then ascend for a second quiet highlands evening.

5

Continue through the conservation area to the Serengeti, where the horizon opens and the terrain changes again. Travel time and park formalities make this a journey day, with wildlife stops along the way rather than a promised full-day drive. Your luxury camp becomes home for three nights.

6

Spend the morning with your private guide, searching the habitats best suited to your interests. Central areas reward resident wildlife viewing year-round; a different seasonal camp location is confirmed before booking if migration is the priority. Return for a long lunch and rest, then head out again in late light.

7

Keep the day flexible for a picnic drive, a return to a productive area or a quieter morning at camp followed by a longer afternoon outing. An optional balloon flight can be quoted separately. End with time to watch the light fade rather than rushing straight from a last sighting to an airport.

8

Transfer to the safari airstrip and take the included flight to Zanzibar, with intermediate stops or connections depending on the schedule. Meet your island driver and transfer to the agreed coastal retreat for two nights. This is a travel day; settle in, learn the local tide rhythm and leave organised activities for tomorrow.

9

Choose a separately priced guided Stone Town and spice-farm visit, or spend the day at your coastal retreat. Reef outings are optional and depend on weather, tide and responsible operators. Breakfast and dinner are included at the hotel; lunch and excursions are left flexible so the day can feel genuinely different from safari.

Enjoy breakfast and a final walk if your flight time allows. Your included road transfer takes you to Zanzibar airport for separately booked onward flights. Check current island entry and insurance requirements before travel, and allow sufficient connection time if your international route returns through mainland Tanzania.
