Day-by-Day Itinerary

1

From Maun, a light aircraft flies you low over the shimmering channels of the Okavango, where elephant and buffalo are often visible below. You land at the airstrip near Camp Okavango and transfer by boat to the camp. Settle into your tented suite and enjoy sunset drinks on the deck.

Your poler guides a traditional mokoro silently through the reeds, past painted reed frogs, malachite kingfishers and hippo pods. The quiet pace brings you very close to wildlife. In the afternoon, take a motorboat to a lagoon to watch fish eagles and African skimmers.

3

Cross by mokoro to a larger island for a guided walk, tracking elephant, giraffe and red lechwe. Your guide explains how the delta's flood cycle feeds this huge oasis. Return to camp for lunch, a siesta and an evening boat cruise.

4

Spend a full day exploring with a mix of mokoro, boat and walking excursions, depending on water levels and sightings. A picnic lunch is served on a remote island. Your final evening includes sundowners on the water, timed for a spectacular sunset.

After an early mokoro outing and breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Maun or on to Victoria Falls.
