Day-by-Day Itinerary
Fly from Wilson Airport to the airstrip confirmed for your camp, watching the Rift Valley give way to rolling grassland. Your guide meets you for a transfer that becomes a first introduction to the ecosystem. After settling into Kichwa Tembo, take an afternoon game drive if arrival time permits, returning before the reserve closes.

Leave after an early coffee, when the grass is silver and lion tracks may still be fresh. Search the open country for cheetah and the shaded drainage lines for leopard, allowing your guide to follow the morning rather than a checklist. Return for brunch and a quiet midday break before an afternoon drive and sundowners in an approved location.
In migration season, carry a picnic and follow current reports to the river. Herds can gather for hours without crossing, so patience and an unobstructed route for the animals are essential. Outside migration season, spend the day exploring resident wildlife and river habitats instead; hippo, crocodiles and birdlife give the landscape interest in every month.
Arrange a permitted guided walk on the camp concession, subject to age limits and conditions, to study tracks, plants and bird calls at a different pace. An optional community-hosted visit is arranged respectfully and with consent. Your final afternoon drive returns to favourite areas, followed by dinner and time to compare the sounds of the bush with those of your first evening.
If the flight schedule allows, enjoy a short final drive before breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for the flight to Wilson Airport. Allow time for a road transfer across Nairobi if connecting to an international departure; onward flights and coastal stays are arranged separately.
