Day-by-Day Itinerary

1

Fly from Wilson to the airstrip selected for the camp and meet your dedicated guide. Settle into a heritage-style tent before an afternoon drive through the permitted conservancy area. Discuss your priorities for the week: big cats, migration if present, or the small details that emerge when there is no hurry to leave a sighting.

2

Begin with fresh tracks and the overnight reports shared by guides, then let animal behaviour determine the route. With a private vehicle, you can stay quietly at a sighting rather than working around other guests. Return to camp during the heat and head out again as the light softens, following conservancy viewing rules throughout.

3

Use the cool morning to search for lion and cheetah, taking a picnic if a longer outing suits the day. Later, explore woodland where leopard may rest in mature trees. The focus is observation, not guaranteed sightings or an approach that interrupts a hunt. A permitted night drive may replace part of the afternoon programme when conditions allow.

4

Leave before sunrise for the first of two included balloon flights. After the safety briefing, drift with the wind over the Mara landscape; the route is determined by weather, not a promise to fly above a particular herd. Celebrate landing with a bush breakfast, then return for rest before an optional afternoon drive. Flights remain subject to operator and weather restrictions.

5

Take a permitted guided bush walk at first light, subject to age and fitness requirements. Tracking on foot shifts attention to seeds, insects, footprints and the direction of the wind. A community-hosted Maasai visit follows by prior arrangement and consent. Finish with an afternoon drive or a quiet evening at camp, with bush dining subject to conditions.

A second included balloon flight offers a new route and a different morning light, weather permitting. If conditions prevent flying, the operator and camp discuss available alternatives under the booking terms. Spend the afternoon following your own interests with the private guide, then enjoy a farewell dinner. A third flight is optional and priced separately.

Fit in a final short drive if the schedule permits, then enjoy breakfast and transfer to the airstrip. Fly back to Wilson Airport. International connections depart from a different airport, so allow a comfortable transfer buffer or an overnight in Nairobi rather than rushing the end of the journey.
