Day-by-Day Itinerary
A private charter flies you from Johannesburg to the Singita airstrip in the Sabi Sands. Boulders Lodge is built from stone and timber along the Sand River, and each suite has its own plunge pool. Your private guide takes you on your first afternoon drive, often with a leopard sighting before sundowners.
Spend two days tracking the leopards that made the Sabi Sands famous, along with lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo. Because you have a private vehicle, you set the schedule: stay with a sighting as long as you like, or take a long bush breakfast. Afternoons include the spa, the gym, or wine tastings in the cellar.
After breakfast, a helicopter lifts off from the lodge for a private flight over the Blyde River Canyon, the third-largest canyon in the world. You will fly past the Three Rondavels, Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window, landing for a champagne picnic on a remote escarpment ledge. Return to Boulders in time for the evening drive.
A short charter flight takes you east to Singita Lebombo in Kruger National Park. The contemporary glass suites hang above the N'wanetsi River, a real change from the earthy Boulders. Spend the afternoon on the lion-rich basalt plains with your guide.
Choose from game drives, walks along the Lebombo mountains, kayaking on the river, or a night on the star bed platform. Your guide plans each day around what you enjoy most. Your last evening ends with a private dinner set up in the bush, lit by lanterns.
Take a last sunrise drive and enjoy breakfast on your deck, then board your private charter back to Johannesburg for your onward connections.
